Fall Fashion Show Commentary

Thanks for stopping by to check out my new stuff by hilary duff Fall and Holiday collections. For Fall, my collection is NOW in stores at Wal-Mart, with accessories at Claire's! Also available now, my Fall collection is at Kohl's, Target, Sears, JC Penney and over a dozen other retailers including Goody's, AAFES, Boscov's, Burlington, Club Libby Lu, Gordmans, Gottschalk's, Limited Too, Marmaxx, Meijer, Shopko, Stage Stores and Toys 'R' Us.

In designing my collections with my creative director Geoffry, I've assembled some terrific looks for Fall back-to-school and Holiday. I begin with my own sense of style and work hard to stay true to my instincts. I like to bring a sense of authenticity to everything I do. While touring in Milan, London, Paris and in other cities around the globe, I'm constantly inspired by cool street and vintage influences. My collections are all about layering and mixing shapes and silhouettes with one-of-a-kind detail and embellishment.

Below is a preview of thoughts regarding my collection, showcasing the total look and feel of my fashions. I want you to know my fashion direction. Check back each day for exclusive never-before-seen photos of the fashion show.

Let the show begin!

Starting with Broken English, Geoffry and I borrowed from the boys with prep school details. English patchwork and club crests add vintage charm to jeans, cargos, and hoodies. We even used a fun prep school tie as a belt on some jeans. I love hoodies layered over mini's with leggings. I mixed up Vintage buttons to use on my corduroy Hobo bag. My bee icon is engraved on all the zipper pulls. To finish off this look, build your wardrobe with the perfect Pea Coat with contrast stitching and Antique brass buttons. Complete the look with my Mini Messenger with cargo detail.

Continuing on to my Queen Victoria collection, you'll notice Victorian inspiration was reconstructed into denim and T's to give a casual twist on girly frocks. Burnished metallic accents add sparkle to jackets, coats, and T's.

I've used bustle back details on my vintage wash denim blazer to make this jacket entirely unique. Then I used an Antique finish for the crystal pendant strung with a velvet ribbon to bring the jacket to perfection.

With this collection, I've used distressed copper ribbon on the paper jersey T's to give them another type of vintage attitude. Be sure to check out my denim swing skirt. It has a pretty tulle trim hem.

Next, my Precious Metals collection was so much fun to design. I wanted to give denim and T's a "rock-chic" attitude with gold and silver chains, studs and stones. You'll also notice that tattoo art decorates backs of jackets and accent knits. Cropped jackets over longer tops are important this season, so I designed clothes adding this detail. My stretch denim jeans have a fun chain print detail with charms. Be sure to grab my matching Hobo bag with tassle detail and crystal stones and studs.

With my Global Hippie group, you'll notice the unique handicraft detail, giving a one-of-a-kind touch to cords, jackets, and romantic skirts. I finished the look with cozy metallic blanket plaid outerwear and faux fur vests and coats. Be sure to get my chocolate hoodie with printed thermal trim. It's definitely one of my favorites from the collection. I love the hand blanket stitching around the pockets. For my skirts and bags, I've used floral embroidery as a trim and to decorate. And just for winter, I've focused on white. Winter White is always a classic, especially in a fun faux fur with pom pom closure.

Finally, my Night Flight was designed so you could dress to thrill in Holiday's dramatic looks. For the big night out, lace with metallic accents gives lighthearted femininity to tops with denim. Pearls and lace add Vintage glamour to T's and sash belts for jeans. Lace, woven with Lurex, adds delicate shine to party tops and denim. Top off the Holiday season with a luscious fur bolero finished with a pink satin tie.
